Last night, Saturday, we played a gig at the Athy Arts Centre, which is based in a beautiful old Cut-stone Presbyterian Church on the Portlaois Road just outside the town of Athy. As with most Arts Centres, it's very much a community effort with a possee of volunteers to keep things happening. They had done a great job on promoting the event, and in spite of the fact that our previous show at the same venue had been cancelled due to the snow in December last, there was a reasonable turn-out for our gig. From a musical perspective it was also an opportunity for us to try out some of our new songs, and I'm happy to report that we got a great reaction to the new material. This was the first public performance of William Smith Monroe, Too Many Guitars and Tomorrow, all of which will hopefully be on our next CD. Tea and wine were served at the half-time break, and our CDs, There's A Better Way and NTB3, sold really well, with about half the audience taking signed copies home. All-in-all a great night, and we would extend our thanks to the team in Athy, and also to everyone who travelled to hear us. Moira took the pictures ..............
