My single release, William Smith Monroe, has been getting very positive reaction, particularly in the USA, and surprisingly, to me at least, in Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina. The market in these areas for Bluegrass is very, very crowded, to say the least, and to make any impression from this remove can prove difficult. The APD service I used for the initial launch and digital distribution has been very efficient, and has insured a very wide spread for WSM. The other result of having released WSM as a single has renewed interest in all our previous material, and the downloads to Radio Stations for Bill Monroe's Mandolin and The Master's Resting Place have been equally impressive. Another small surprise result has been the interest and downloading of my tribute song to Jimmie Rodgers from the NTB3 CD, sung beautifully by Clem O'Brien, and that's Jimmie Rodger's Dream. Maybe our next project should be a whole Album of new Tribute Songs ? Anyway, thanks to all the DJs and Radio Stations around the World for taking such a keen interest in our original Bluegrass Music from the Blackstairs. Thanks also to APD and New Cuts Of Bluegrass Volume 3. I am also looking forward to showcasing at IBMA 2011, in the 1814 Suite at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville in September with Mountain Music Entertainment.com
